Always Floral Relocates to FM 2920 in Spring, Texas

On May 1st, 2013 Always Floral Celebrated it's Grand Opening at 5034 FM 2920 in Spring, Texas.   The decision to expand was due in part to the exploding growth in the area.   After days of hunting for the perfect spot and a building that had a vintage flair to resemble our previous location in Old Town Spring, we landed on the Northeast corner of FM 2920 and Rhodes Rd.

Aquiring the space in March we went full speed with remodeling and created our own little cozy, vintage space.  Everything was custom created and lots of ideas were borrowed from Pinterest.  Just like planning for a wedding, it was at times stressful, challenging, but in the end our florist shop came together magnificently.   Of course it helped that I had accumulated over the years lots of antique treasures and furnishing that helped pull the space together.  I even took up chalk painting to help complete picture framed menus and learned wood staining techniques for staining all the wood counters and fireplace mantle.  I even brought out the My good old Singer and sewed curtains.

The best part of the having a larger space was incorporating more items for retail sale which was something we had little part in before.   Now being in a more visibly high traffic area we needed those additional options and lots and lots of flowers on hand to service the demand in the area.   The best part of having fresh flowers on hand at all times is a great opportunity to show brides the various options available for their day.  We also added favorite bouquet blooms in silks just in case a bride prefers silk options for bridals.

The addition of shelving and showcases allowed us to expand our options for containers.  Everything from the newest looks in mason jars to tin can and ceramic containers give brides additional options from the everyday norm.  We will continue to keep up with the latest trends in containers as they are a big request from our retail customers as well.  The different options are what sets us a part from the rest.
Fresh picked from the garden looks and rustic accented pieces are big with weddings still and it's fun to have our retail pieces have those same elements.  In our short time in our new space we have already had repeat customers and a huge amount of referral business.  The neat thing about being visible from the street is our walk in brides to be that happen to drive by and notice our parisian style canopy with the indoor lighted antique hanging chandelier (eye catcher from the street), and come in to discuss their upcoming weddings.  If anyone remembers our previous location we could not be seen easily and this was not the norm there.

We look forward to the future and the continued growth of our new shop and are so thankful for the new customers the return ones and the friends we make along the way.  Oh, can't forget the day to day unexpected surprises like an order for gift baskets for all the seniors at a local retirement home or a nervous guy that comes in that wants lots and lots of petals and a bouquet of flowers because he is about to propose to his girlfriend.  Or recently a dear grandfather's passing at 109 who was loved by so many prompted a family to order an in memory arrangement as special as he was.   Words are hard to express the joy and feeling we get to be involved in these important details and to help touch so many lives.  We absolutely love what we do! Yes, we really do! :)  Thank you to all those that allowed us to be a part of their celebrations, and other special occasions.
